Cephalo-Grip
A revolution in road safety, Cephalo-Grip is installed into road surfaces to reduce the risks whilst driving during adverse weather conditions. Positioned in relation to identified black spots on B-roads, the bright yellow HDPE offers drivers a visual warning to reduce their speed. In the scenario of rain sleet or snow, water causes the hydrophilic core to swell, resulting in the protrusion of grip bumps from the road’s surface, giving a physical warning similar to that of rumble strips. Traction is increased by the protruding grip bumps, which reduces stopping distances and could potentially save lives. Cephalo-Grip is 100% recyclable.
